MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate or (MBP Ninja Affiliate) is a plugin for WordPress that helps you managing your affiliate links (in almost every possible ways) from the WordPress Admin panel and lets you monetize your blog by automatically turning selected keywords in post content into affiliate links.
It’s just not about converting keywords only, MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate is much more than that. You can turn your ugly affiliate URLs into fully customized your own domain based URLs in just a few clicks and track every bit of the activity on those links.

MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate Features

Well, it doesn’t has a lot of features to talk about but some features in Ninja Affiliate are quite unique and worth to mention. Some pro features that adds affiliate links in posts or pages or even comments can make your life much easier.

1. Automatically Convert Keywords into Links:

When you need to link a keyword in your post to your social profile (or, to an affiliate product) you just edit the post and insert the link, right? That’s pretty easy, but when you need to add that link to thousands of your previous posts? That’ll be a tough job to do. 3. Cloaked URLs:

If you do not want commission thieves to steal your hard earned affiliate commissions, you can use this Ninja Affiliate feature to hide the actual link in address bar and show your custom URL instead.
Please note, affiliate networks link Commission Junction and ClickBank does not allow cloaked links, therefor use it with accordance of your affiliate network’s terms of service.

4. Organized Links:

A must have feature for me as I like to keep my things organized. With the help of Groups, you can organize your links and keep them separate from others. For example, you can create custom links for your social profiles and keep them under, say, ‘Social Profiles’ group.

5. Full Control on Displaying the Links:

You have the full control over the links, thanks to the “Keywords To Ninja Links Options” in MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate. Here are what this option offers:

• You can set how many keywords to convert in a blog post page, including post content and comment content.
• You can set the maximum number of keyword to link conversion for a single keyword separately in post content and comment content.
• You can choose to open the Ninja Links in a new window.
• You can choose to add rel=”nofollow” to Ninja Links. (It is highly recommended to do so)
• You can format your Ninja Links to stand out from others and get more attention by giving it a different color, boldness, italicized, underlined and a different font and size.
• You can choose to exclude contents in static pages from keyword to link conversion.
• You can choose to exclude blog posts in certain categories from keyword to link conversion.

That’s pretty much it.

6. Link Analytics and Statistics:

The built-in analytics feature lets you track your Ninja Links. It shows you how many raw (total) clicks your link got so far and how many of them are unique (clicked a single time by a unique visitor). However, in my opinion LinkTrackr beats Ninja Affiliate by a mile in this feature.

7. Sub Campaigns:

Creating sub campaigns for my link campaigns was never been this easier. Thanks to MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate’s ‘Smart Sub Campaigns”. All you need to do is add a ‘-‘ after the link and followed by your sub campaign slug. The sub campaign will be added automatically and show on links page as well as stats page.
For example; if I want to create a sub campaign for my Ninja Affiliate promotional campaign, the link will become

This is very useful for tracking different link positions such as links within post content, sidebar banner and different promotional campaigns like promotional emails and search marketing campaigns.

8. MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate Smart Caching:

Unlike other similar plugins (including LinkTrackr), MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate has a unique feature that caches the links when a page is loaded for the first time and serves the link from the cache when that page is viewed again.
This makes page loads a lot faster and takes the minimal system resource while the plugin is running.

My Suggestions – What I’d like to see in upcoming Versions

Though MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate is a complete package by itself, but there are some room to improve. Here are my suggestions to the developer. I hope they will be attained soon and make our life far easier.

• More detailed stats. Currently the stats shows only the total and unique clicks, but it would be awesome if we can see the Clicked Link along with IP Address, Country, Post URL, referrer, time and date and Browser.
• Ability to A/B Test or Split Test the landing page in case we want to try different scopes.
• Let us use URL Shorteners like goo.gl or bit.ly and use their API to generate stats.
• Let us create campaigns and sub-campaigns (This is currently possible, but I want to see more options on this).
• Generate stats based on campaigns, groups and links.

My Views

Overall, the plugin is good enough for me to replace LinkTrackr. The only thing I’d miss is the custom domain for my Ninja Links.
MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate serves mainly one purpose and that is converting keywords of your choice into links of your choice and it does that like a pro. All the sub features makes the plugin the best in business. Remember, if you just want to convert keywords into links, you would not need this as there are some free alternatives available, but if you are concern about the coding quality and want pro features, the MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate should be your first choice.
